“So comes snow after fire, and even dragons have their ending!”

 — J.R.R. Tolkien

It was the final day of the dragons

The Monarchy of Ice had seized the throne and

Their Queen had ordered her influence to be spread

Far and wide across the lands.

Dread. Fear. Oppression. Ice.

All marching across the green meadows,

The yellow deserts,

The cobblestone cities. Turning all to ice.

Advancing with speed, ready to kill.

It is not just the ground that feels the freeze,

But the skies were awash with snow and biting breezes.

Dragons with bellies full of fire could not hope to survive.

And one by one they toppled from the skies.

The only opposition to the Monarchy of Ice,

The last flames of the land.

Snuffed out.

Dead.

But the land is not without hope, for far away hidden beneath the

Ground is a little girl with the beating heart of queen

And a belly filled with a dragon’s rage and a dragon’s fire…

A Queen ready to rise!
